Scale Reduction System uses Template Associated Crystallization (TAC) to convert all scale causing harmful minerals to hard crystals which will not stick in water surface. Scale Reduction System has tiny polymer beads covered in craters which are often called as “nucleation sites”. These nucleation sites stay as templates to form micro-crystals. When hard water with minerals flows through these templates, magnesium and calcium are attracted by nucleation sites. This is a containing process and over the time when these magnesium and calcium ion build up in large scale within the sites, micro-crystal are formed. When these crystals reach certain threshold, they break off from sites and get released into the water. These released micro-crystals are stable and will retain crystalline structure as they travel through water system. These micro-crystals will not break off and attach to water pipes which results in scale.
